Purpose

Neetibazar recognises that privacy is fundamental to customer trust.

This Privacy Policy explains how Neetibazar collects, uses, stores, protects and, where appropriate, shares Personal Data in connection with the operation of the Neetibazar Platform.

By using the Platform or providing Personal Data to Neetibazar, Users acknowledge that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Data collected through:

  • the Neetibazar Website;
  • future mobile applications;
  • customer service communications;
  • order processing;
  • promotional activities;
  • surveys;
  • social media interactions managed by Neetibazar;
  • any other official Neetibazar communication channel.

Depending on how Users interact with the Platform, Neetibazar may collect:

  • delivery recipient name;
  • business name (where applicable).

Contact Information

Including:

  • mobile number;
  • email address;
  • delivery address;
  • billing address (if applicable).

Order Information

Including:

  • Products ordered;
  • quantities;
  • delivery preferences;
  • order history;
  • transaction details.

Payment Information

Initially, Neetibazar will primarily operate through Cash on Delivery.

When electronic payment methods are introduced, payment information may be processed through authorised payment service providers.

Neetibazar shall not knowingly retain sensitive payment credentials unless required for lawful operational purposes and appropriate security measures are in place.

Technical Information

Including:

  • device type;
  • browser type;
  • operating system;
  • IP address;
  • language preferences;
  • website usage information;
  • cookies and similar technologies.

Customer Communications

Including:

  • customer enquiries;
  • complaints;
  • feedback;
  • product reviews;
  • communications with customer support.

Article 3

How We Use Personal Data

Neetibazar may use Personal Data for purposes including:

  • processing Orders;
  • arranging deliveries;
  • communicating with Customers;
  • responding to enquiries;
  • verifying Orders where reasonably necessary;
  • preventing fraud;
  • improving Products and services;
  • maintaining Platform security;
  • complying with legal obligations;
  • maintaining business records;
  • providing updates regarding Orders.

Where Users have separately agreed, Personal Data may also be used to provide information regarding promotions, new Products or other marketing communications.

Users may opt out of promotional communications at any time.

Article 4

Lawful and Responsible Processing

Neetibazar seeks to collect only the Personal Data reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.

Personal Data shall not knowingly be collected or used in ways inconsistent with this Privacy Policy or applicable law.

We strive to process Personal Data fairly, responsibly and transparently.

Article 5

Sharing Personal Data

Neetibazar does not sell Customers’ Personal Data.

Personal Data may be shared only where reasonably necessary, including with:

  • courier and delivery partners;
  • payment service providers;
  • information technology service providers;
  • professional advisers;
  • auditors;
  • regulatory authorities;
  • law enforcement agencies where legally required;
  • approved Marketplace Sellers (when introduced and only where necessary to fulfil Orders).

All such sharing shall be limited to the information reasonably required for the relevant purpose.

Article 6

Data Security

Neetibazar endeavours to implement reasonable administrative, organisational and technical safeguards to protect Personal Data against:

  • unauthorised access;
  • accidental loss;
  • misuse;
  • alteration;
  • unauthorised disclosure;

No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

However, Neetibazar continually seeks to improve its information security practices.

Data Retention

Personal Data shall be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • fulfil the purposes described in this Policy;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • maintain business records;
  • enforce contractual rights.

Where Personal Data is no longer required, Neetibazar shall endeavour to securely delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and internal policies.

Customer Rights

Subject to applicable law, Customers may request to:

  • access Personal Data held by Neetibazar;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • update contact details;
  • withdraw consent for marketing communications;
  • request deletion of Personal Data where legally permissible.

Certain requests may be limited where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes.

Article 9

Children’s Privacy

Neetibazar does not knowingly collect Personal Data directly from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law.

Where a parent or legal guardian believes that Personal Data relating to a child has been provided improperly, Neetibazar should be contacted promptly so that appropriate action may be considered.

International Transfers

At launch, Personal Data is expected to be processed primarily within Bangladesh.

If future business operations require cross-border processing, Neetibazar shall endeavour to implement appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

Neetibazar uses cookies and similar technologies to improve website functionality, enhance security, analyse usage and improve user experience.

Policy Updates

Neetibazar may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in business operations, technology or legal requirements.

Material changes shall be published on the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform after publication constitutes acknowledgement of the updated Policy.

  • Chapter 21 – Information Security Policy;
  • Chapter 23 – Data Retention Policy.

Where different policies relate to Personal Data, they should be interpreted consistently and harmoniously.
